Discussion: health surveillance and privacy in the pandemic

I moderated a high-level conversation on how governments worldwide balance public health and personal privacy as they attempt to protect their residents from the virus. We also talk about the potential for technology to go beyond simply virus prevention and be used to further perpetuate existing structures of oppression.

This virtual event is part of a long-running project with multiple stakeholders to bring global affairs conversations into public spaces.
