Redog

When the biggest earthquake in modern history hit Japan one month ago, the country turned to the international community for help. From Switzerland, Japan asked for one thing in particular—REDOG, the Swiss Disaster Dog Association. The association is made up of volunteers trained, with their dogs, to be among the best searchers in the world. Linda Hornisberger, a veterinary surgeon at the University of Bern, headed the Swiss crew in Japan. WRS’s Tony Ganzer has her story:
